I'm still experimenting with this one.
Mix flour and water adding spices, salt and pepper if required (a pinch of each at most). Heat whilst stirring constantly until the mixture thickens like a very thick custard/porridge. Pour into a greased baking tray or casserole dish to cool. Once cooled to room temperature slice into chips with a thin-bladed knife or pizza cutter. Place in fridge or freeze (keeping chunks separate until frozen). When needed separate the chunks and deep fry for 10 minutes?
It might be easier to cut if placed on somethign flat which would be fine if it was thick enough to not run too much
