The original recipe was for coriander leaves not parsley. Another source said add lemon juice to parsely to use as a substitute.
Shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt and massage (later said squeeze) for 5 minutes. Leave for 20 minutes to soften. On squeezing liquid should come out.
Mix all other ingredients and pack into sealable jar (recipe said use the three outside leaves of the cabbage to keep the chopped ingredients under the fluid). Leave for 5 to 7 days.
