Finely sliced and chopped at least once (makes the balls more dense)

Method

  1. mix flour and herbs/spices in a large bowl
  2. add the water and mix to a thick paste
  3. add onions and mix
  4. form balls (6-8cm diameter) and lower into oil at 180 degrees
  5. deep fry for 4-5 minutes removing if they start to burn
  6. keep warm in oven if required

Serve with dips (mango chutney, lime sauce etc.) or as a side dish.
