Tomato Purée (not all recipes use it) 

Stock 800ml+, 

Apple chopped

1Kg chopped root veg (onions, carrot, swede, turnip, celery) and/or replace part with minced beef

Rice, 250g cooked to 800-1000ml stock

onion salt

garlic salt

pepper

ginger

finely chopped coriander leaves 15g

1-2 tablespoons mild curry powder

Thickener

Cook veg (and beef?) in stock with curry and seasonings for up to 8 hours. Mash with potato masher and/or partly blend (not too much - need some texture).  Mix in rice (separated) and fresh coriander, heat ten minutes and serve
